Carol Soborowski weaves Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with a modern understanding of the nervous system and primarily uses acupuncture and Neuro Emotional Technique to help her patients move from chronically stressed and run-down to hopeful and thriving. Carol is a Licensed Acupuncturist with a passion for teaching patients how to understand what their bodies are communicating to them through their symptoms. She is trained as an acupuncturist and graduated magna cum laude from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in 2009 with both a Masters in Oriental Medicine and Bachelors in Nutrition.
Since she was a kid, Carol knew she wanted to practice holistic medicine, but after some years in practice, found herself completely burned out and exhausted. Taking a break from practicing medicine gave Carol the open door to truly learn to care for and heal her own nervous system. She returned to practice in 2022 with a new zeal and determination to help her patients "end the war in their body" caused by trying "do it all" for far too long. Carol, who has now founded Sound Mind Acupuncture clinic in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, is deeply compassionate and a teacher at heart. It is one of her greatest privileges and joys to show patients how to connect the dots and understand how emotions, stress, and thought patterns impact their body and then how to recognize and course-correct when these patterns show up as physical symptoms.
